Oops, Sega accidentally shared a new ad and release date for Sonic Frontiers

Someone needs to duct tape Sega and Sonic Frontiers! Following news that a Taiwanese store had promotional materials for the game, listing a November release date and some upcoming DLCs, Sega’s Japanese YouTube account accidentally uploaded a short trailer for the game.

The company has since removed it, but not before eagle-eyed fans (and Nibel) noticed a trailer on Twitter, which indicated the release date – November 8th.

This is slightly different from the date we reported last Friday, but considering it’s from Sega itself, it’s probably correct.

Sonic Frontiers is due to appear during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live, which begins on 11:00 AM PT / 7:00 PM PT tonight. At this point, it seems very likely that a release date will be officially confirmed, and Sega just accidentally uploaded the Japanese version of the trailer too soon. Oops!

Perhaps Sega could use this adorable little character, Coco, to distract us from this accidental discovery?
