Nintendo Switch Now Has Over 6,700 Third-Party Games

Shin Megami Tensei V is another major side game coming soon

There are a lot of games on the Switch, and we’d bet quite a lot of course. really good games are in the extensive library of the system and are waiting to be discovered. Sure, there are a lot of bad games and stupid apps out there, but nonetheless, there is a lot of fantastic variety for those looking for better options.

Aside from decent POS support, most of the third-party developers on Switch play an online store. The Nintendo Download Store has never been bigger, which Nintendo has highlighted in its Financial reports is an attractive update that has now ended 6700 third-party games on the system.

That includes over 1,100 add-ons in the past six months alone, and perhaps important for future third-party hardware support for Nintendo, these games account for a decent percentage (over half) of total Switch game sales. Of course, it will have a wide range, from large, multi-million dollar selling like Rise of the monster hunters down to small download-only games.

Thanks to the digital age, this is the largest number of third-party games Nintendo has ever used on one of its systems.

This is a staggering number, and even without considering the significant amount of low-quality titles that can no doubt be found in the online store, after four and a half years, we believe that the Switch library has a wide range of first-class third-party titles.
