Nintendo showcases new and familiar Splatoon 3 weapons

Just a couple of days ago, Nintendo unveiled one of the new weapons for the upcoming Splatoon 3: the adorable Ink Vac. Designed to suck up ink and release it back to create an explosion of chaos and color, it’s sure to be a hit with fans of the franchise.

Now, Nintendo has introduced another new weapon, except that it looks a bit more familiar, especially if you’ve been with the series since the beginning. Dubbed the “Triple Inkstrike”, this weapon allows you to fire three ink rockets into the air before marking your targets with three orbs. You can throw them in quick succession for a deadly barrage of missiles, or you can smash them for more strategic strikes.

Of course, the original Inkstrike from 2015 Splatoon had a similar purpose, allowing users to select a target on the Wii U controller screen. We lost the extra screen in Splatoon 3, but the addition of two more missiles more than makes up for it.
