Nintendo Confirms Advance Wars 1 + 2: The Re-Boot Field Will Include Online Support

Apart from Metroid Dread, one of the other Nintendo E3 Direct standout ads it was the return of the Advance Wars games from the GBA generation.

Advance Wars 1 + 2: Re-Boot Camp is to be made by the Shantae developer WayForward and had a facelift (as you’ve probably already noticed), but other than that, we don’t know much else about this updated two-in-one version.

At the end of the Nintendo Treehouse Advance Wars segment, Nintendo of America representatives confirmed that the Re-Boot will include “online gaming” – with more details on this soon.

It was also briefly mentioned how there would be support for “up to four players”. Nintendo official game page it also mentions how four players will be able to fight between dozens of cards, and that the online game will require users to have a Nintendo Switch Online subscription.

Obviously, the online game wasn’t part of the original GBA titles, so it’s fantastic to see this modern take on these new features.
