CD Projekt Red has announced that the next big game in Witcher series is under development.
The game marks a technology partnership between CD Projekt Red and Epic Games, with the new game taking advantage of Epic’s Unreal Engine 5. The Witcher 2: Assassins of KingsCD Projekt Red has always used its proprietary REDengine technology for its games (and still uses it for the upcoming besieged expansions). Cyberpunk 2077which is confirmed at the bottom of the statement).
As of now, no development time, release window, or even target platforms have been announced. As such, it’s not clear if the game will come to Switch – which might seem highly unlikely — or whether it could appear on the legendary next-generation Nintendo console, or skip Nintendo platforms entirely. Please, no cloud version!
The previous Witcher title from CD Projekt Red The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt naturally made its way to the Switch, albeit with some pretty serious graphical sacrifices.
