Street Fighter 6 entered the Tokyo Game Show ring and walked away with several championship-worthy knockouts. We’ve shared the details of the world tour where you can create your own avatar and truly customize your Street Fighter 6 experience. Bring that avatar to the Battle Hub and have fun with the community. Legendary warriors of the world Ken, Blanca, Dhalsim and E. Honda are punching their tickets in a vibrant roster of playable characters. And finally, get your hands on Street Fighter 6 in the closed beta. Find out more about these stadium-sized ads below!
Your avatar. your world tour.
When we first unveiled World Tour in June, we said it would be an exciting single player story mode that would push the boundaries of what a fighting game is all about. And here we are!
Your first destination will be Buckler Security located in Metro City. This company trains new employees in the security service. This is where Luke will be your coach while you sign up for your basic training course, and this is where your story begins.
World Tour offers the most powerful avatar creation feature that pushes the boundaries of what a character creation tool can do. There are plenty of customization options to reflect your personal style and flair.
The avatar creation menu contains several pages of options that you can customize. Choose your avatar’s body type from the Height & Proportions, Upper Body, Lower Body, Muscle Development, Skin Color, and Body Hair options. In the Muscle Definition category, you can freely choose how your avatar’s body will look: from Shredded, to Built, to Soft, and somewhere in between.
Then move on to even more details on categories like Hair, Eye Shape, Iris, Eyebrows, Nose, Mouth, Ears, Facial Hair and more! Each of these categories contains a variety of sliders that can change your avatar in great detail – we’re talking cheek depth, jaw length, and even creating an ombre effect with your avatar’s hair!
You can also change your avatar’s Gear so that it always has the last straw as it roams the world. Visit stores to buy outfits for your wardrobe so you can follow the latest fashion trends or stick to your own style. You can check and change what styles you use and what equipment you have in the Equipment section of the Status menu. Categories include head gear, upper body gear, lower body gear, leg gear, and gear sets. But gear isn’t just for looks. Different equipment affects your strength and stats, so keep an eye on which one works best.
Luke (call him “Coach”) will be your tour guide around the world as you begin your adventures in Metro City. As you progress through the story, you will meet Masters who will take you under their wing and teach you their style and attacks. As your bond with them grows stronger, you can also learn basic moves from their repertoire such as Ryu’s Shoryuken and Chun-Li’s Spinning Bird Kick. Use them to start a fight and you’ll start off with benefits, and some of them can even be used to break wooden crates and barrels or jump onto distant platforms. Basic actions, while convenient, consume drive gauge, so always keep an eye on how much you have left in the tank.
During your travels, you will face a number of challenges and trials. You will have opportunities to prove yourself in street fights. As you get stronger, you will face even stronger opponents.
In Metro City, longtime fans will find familiar places like names from the Street Fighter universe as the city’s signature landmarks. Be sure to explore every corner. You never know what surprises await you!

Battle center for everyone
Transfer your World Tour avatar to the Battle Hub, another main mode in Street Fighter 6 where you can gather with other players to socialize through a variety of means. The online features of Fighting Ground are also available on the Battle Hub.
Up to 100 players can be in one Battle Hub at the same time! Players can use emotes or chat to communicate with each other. Of course, don’t forget to check out the Hub Good Shop to showcase your fashion when you hit the court!
In the Battle Hub you will find many slot machines. Take part in arcade Battle Hub matches on back-to-back cabinets. The match will start when two players sit down on both sides. The audience changes everything… and turns an ordinary fight into a breathtaking spectacle. Watch the Battle Hub match and witness the glory.
Head into the Game Center to play a variety of classic Capcom arcade games such as Street Fighter II and Final Fight, where you can also show off your skills to compete against others for the highest score!
Don’t forget to check the various events that are happening or scheduled on the event counter. Tournaments are also periodically held in the Battle Hub. It’s time to turn on the comment function and feel like a real tournament!

Four legendary characters are joining the battlefield!
We know the community has been waiting for this (yes, we’ve seen the memes). Ken Masters is a former U.S. National Wrestling Champion and former Vice President of the Masters Foundation. Accusations of organizing a criminal conspiracy forced Ken to leave his family and business and go into hiding.
As a legend of the Street Fighter series, Ken’s core moveset remains the same as in his previous iterations. Hadouken, Shoryuken and Tatsumaki Senpu-kyaku? Check, check, check. His Dragonlash Kick and Sprint from Street Fighter V are also now Special Moves rather than V-Skills. New to Ken is the Jinrai Kick, a forward roundhouse kick that can be followed by three different variations, reflecting Ken’s desire to clear his name.
A kind-hearted conservationist, Blanca became a tour guide, confident that his deep knowledge of the jungle would serve as a springboard to fame and a comfortable life for his beloved mother. You can take a guided tour of Blanca’s “Ranger’s Hut” stage by the river, where village life unfolds against a backdrop of lush greenery.
Blanca wouldn’t be the healthy beast he is without his usual electric thunder and various rolling attacks. But the time he was trying to sell Blanca-chan dolls in Street Fighter V changed his moveset due to an overabundance of adorable plush toys. He can now use Blanca-chan’s bomb to throw the doll to the ground. When Blanca touches it with a special electric move, the cute little thing will run towards the opponent in a crazy rage and explode.
Dhalsim is a monk and yoga master who has served as a guide for countless suffering souls. He prefers to avoid conflict whenever possible, but his innate hatred of evil drives him to deliver harsh justice. The elephants return to the stage of the Dhalsimer temple, where the monks study yoga among the candles in a peaceful setting.
Dhalsim uses his familiar fire moves from past games, but has also mastered alternate ways to fire flames to cover all corners. His Yoga Fire moves horizontally again, Yoga Arch launches a fireball in the same arc trajectory as in Street Fighter V, and Yoga Comet fires at a downward angle when Dhalsim is in the air. Yoga Flame is back when Dhalsim releases a large fireball in front of him while Yoga Blast blows at an upward angle as a nice anti-air blast. In addition, Dhalsim can still teleport and carry his worries away.
A sumo wrestler looking to bring the sport to a global audience, E. Honda has the skills of a Yokozuna, but his constant travel around the world has prevented him from rising to that rank. He is also an accomplished cook, known for his mouth-watering chanko stew.
As with the previous three World Warriors, E. Honda fans will feel right at home with his moveset. His signature slaps “Hundred Hands”, “Sumo Headbutt”, “Sumo Kick” and “Oicho Throw” are back. Two of his V-skills from Street Fighter V, Neko Damashi and Sumo Spirit, are now special moves. E. Honda’s new move is the sumo dash, in which he propels himself forward with a traditional sumo shuffle, which may be followed by more pressure or a launcher.
Turn the volume up to Extreme
Extreme Combat, shown in our Tokyo Game Show trailer, is a new addition to Fighting Ground that adds fun and unexpected options to your matches. Each extreme battle contains a rule and a trick. A rule is a condition that must be met in order to win a match. For example, you can set the rule “First to get five knockdown wins!” The trick, on the other hand, adds an extra layer of fun. Examples are a level-running bull that deals damage, Mega Man’s Met that can shock you, and other wacky surprises to add excitement and challenge to Street Fighter 6. This is the mode for those who want something different. from normal fights. If you want to survive in the world of extreme battles, luck is just as important as technique!
The closed beta you’ve been waiting for
This is true! We’ll be running a Closed Beta Test (CBT) for Street Fighter 6 from October 7th to 10th on PlayStation 5. The best part is that it supports cross-play, as will the full game when it launches in 2023! (Note: Time may vary by region)
During CBT, players can battle each other and access the Battle Hub to experience features such as Ranked Match, Random Match, Battle Hub Match, Open Tournament, Extreme Battle, Game Center, and Training Mode.
During the CBT, you will be able to play as eight characters: Ryu, Chun-Li, Luke, Jamie, Guile, Kimberly, Yuri and Ken. Since they each have unique and distinct playstyles, we know that you will be able to find a character to bond with. However, keep your mind open as we still have more characters to show you the same amount of personality.

Two more commentators add their style
Finally, two more commentators have been added to the live commentary feature: Kosuke Hiraiva and HEDemon Kakka. Kosuke Hiraiva is a renowned esports commentator who brings his experience and professionalism to Street Fighter 6. HEDemon Kakka is the lead singer of the Japanese heavy metal band Seikima-II. Although they will comment on your matches in Japanese, English subtitles will accompany the screen if selected.
And these are our announcements from Tokyo Game Show 2022! There is still a lot to do before the release of Street Fighter 6 in 2023, but in the meantime, we will see you at the closed beta.
