After the release of the promising but too simple game Transformers: Battlegrounds in 2020, we were wondering where these disguised robots disappeared (presumably in the parking lot of the industrial estate near the M4). However, two years later, Battlegrounds publisher Outright Games announced that the engines were working on a new Transformers game to be released in 2023.
Developed by Tessera Studios (the team behind Star Trek Prodigy: Supernova), Outright is tight-lipped about the smaller details for now, although it has said the game will be based on the upcoming animated series. TRANSFORMERS: EARTH SPARKwhich will premiere in November.
The series follows a new team of robots who are the first of their kind to arrive on Earth. While not a lot of To get away, we can expect the game to feature this new gang, although it is unknown if it will take a similar turn-based approach to the previous Battlegrounds release, or if it will target something new.
We can expect more details on the game itself and when we’ll see it on Switch in the coming months.
What are you hoping to see in this new transformer game?
