New Guardians of the Galaxy Trailer Reveals Drax Flirting With Lady Hellbender

Eidos-Montréal’s Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy were Game informerJune cover. We spent weeks talking to developers about RPG mechanics, branching dialogue, and comic book action. More immersive footage was shown around the world during E3 this summer, as well as gameplay demo filled with third-person exploration and explosive combat. A new trailer featuring Lady Hellbender is out today. What’s more, the hulking warrior spends much of her cinematic flirtation with the incredibly dry-cooked Drax.

Lady Hellbender is Queen Seknarf Nine and a collector of monsters. At the beginning of the video, which you can watch above, she is talking to a potential salesperson. Her next clients, the titular Guardians, arrive to talk, but instead watch as the vendor is ripped apart by his own auctioned creature, the dreaded Tara-tara. When Hellbender comes face to face with Drax, it becomes obvious to everyone in the arena that his legendary reputation is ahead of him. Needless to say, the flirty conversation between Drax and the Hellspeaker isn’t the most rude, but it is definitely unpleasant (and humorous!).

Star-Lord is allowed to encourage Drax to flirt back or take the lead himself. And later, in the awkward manner of Peter-Quill, he even snatches out his own laminated business card. Lady Hellbender is certainly not impressed. IN commentary version of the same trailer, Director of Cinematography and Animation Darryl Pardee explains why the Guardians even decided to enter Lady Hellbender’s abode:

“After being arrested and fined, [the Guardians] must now largely do justice to the Nova Corps. They devise a plan to sell Rocket or Groot to Lady Hellbender in order to make a quick buck. Once the deal is complete, the Guardians plan to trick Lady Hellbender by infiltrating her fortress and knocking out their friend. “

As usual, it looks like the Guardians will have to work for them.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy launches on October 26 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X / S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC. More information on the upcoming game can be found in our Lighting Center.
