As you probably heard, the rain got out of control in Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Ultimate Edition… Not only is it plentiful, but it also has some “sorting problems” (as highlighted by Digital Foundry) where things like puddles of water overlap before rain.

While Switch players will unfortunately have to wait for the official release of the patch for the Nintendo Switch version of the game, according to Kotaku, modders seem to have come to the rescue on PC and are already trying to fix the bug. rain problems (and this is after Rockstar destroyed existing versions of GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas on the same platform).

These mods have names like “rain fix” and essentially make the rain more transparent, making it much easier to see what you are doing in each of the game worlds when it rains. Meanwhile, other modders step in to restore things like missing radios.

The owner and CEO of Grove Street Games (the studio that put out the last release of the trilogy) said last week that the development team already has updates, so hopefully a “rain fix” is on the agenda:

“It’s great to see the players really enjoy what we have created for them. I honestly enjoy the unprecedented level of control over our studio. Today we are celebrating the launch of our epic project while we work on updates. “
