Microsoft Xbox Night Mode will allow users to dim the power button and controller LED

Tech giant Microsoft will soon introduce a new Night Mode for Xbox consoles that will allow users to dim the controller’s LEDs.

According to The Verge, an American software company, has already begun testing this Night Mode with Xbox Insiders in Alpha Skip-Ahead Ring on Friday, and “it allows Xbox owners to dim their screens, controller LED brightness, and even the Xbox power button.”

Xbox Night Mode allows many settings, including various dimming levels and an optional blue light filter.

Microsoft will also allow Xbox owners to dim the LEDs on their controllers in this night mode, and to dim or turn off the Xbox power button light.

Users will also be able to configure Xbox to switch to system dark mode and turn off HDR when night mode is on, according to The Verge.

Reportedly, this Xbox Night Mode will also be able to set a schedule, manual or automatic, that will turn it on at dusk and turn it off at dawn.

Testing is currently underway by the company with Xbox Insiders, so according to The Verge, users can expect it to be filtered through various testing channels in the coming weeks before coming to all Xbox consoles soon.
