Metroidvania ‘Curse Of The Sea Rats’ Release Date Set For April
The beautifully hand-drawn Petoons Metroidvania Curse of the Sea Rats, which combines piracy, rodents and platforming, is coming to the Switch Docks on April 6, 2023!
The upcoming game is set in a world set along the Irish coast in the 18th century. After the shipwreck, you will have to explore up to 16 unique areas to find your way back and find treasure. The developer promised “over 12 hours of content” including several hidden rooms and side quests.
The brand new trailer shown above shows off some of the bosses you’ll encounter as you run around the map. All sorts of opponents await you in Ireland, apparently from fellow pirates to deadly crustaceans.
And for the physical collectors among you dear readers, you will be able to get a limited edition of the game from Funstock for £34.99 on Switch. Or you can get a regular physical copy from your local retailer.
