We didn’t necessarily expect regular patches for Nintendo’s recent release. Metroid dreadbut it looks like the game still has a number of issues that need to be addressed.
As a result, MercurySteam has released another update that includes several general fixes to improve the overall experience. There’s even a “final boss” fix! Here are the full patch notes, courtesy of the official Nintendo support page:
Ver. 1.0.2 (released November 3, 2021)
-Fixed an issue where retrying after the end of the game would only add game time when retrying a specific boss fight.
-Fixed an issue that would force the game to crash if you hit an enemy frozen with an ice rocket in a certain way with a shining spark.
-Fixed an issue that caused Samus to move strangely when jumping at certain times in the Morph Ball Launcher.
-Fixed an issue that caused the last boss to get stuck on the wall and not be able to move during a certain attack, making it impossible to advance in the game.
-Fixed an issue that caused Samus to get stuck in the wall when defeating EMMI in Ferenia in a certain position.
This follows from version 1.0.1, in which the crash bug was fixed towards the end of the game. You can find out more about this particular patch in our previous update.
