Today I wanted to give you an exclusive look at some of the awful, low-brow F-Tier movies included with RiffTrax: The Game. These include “The Last Shark”, “The Boy in the Plastic Bubble”, “Vampire Robo”, “Fun in Balloon Land” and “Manual with Danger”. These previously unannounced cinematic abominations were curated by RiffTrax professionals. They’ve been digging into films for over 15 years, so if there’s one thing they know, it’s bad films.
Sorry in advance, these movies are terrible!
last shark
Some crazy Italian filmmakers came up with the brilliant idea to rip off Jaws. The Last Shark doesn’t have the acting talent or music budget of the original, but it does have a significantly higher percentage of mustachioed actors! To the credit of the film, This a scene… that will certainly challenge everything you know about cinema.
Boy in a plastic bubble
John Travolta is the “star” in this 1976 made-for-television movie. Travolta plays Todd Lubitsch, a boy who was born without immunity and forced to live (you guessed it) in a plastic bubble. It’s as interesting as it is scientifically accurate.
Robo Vampire
Does the world really need another vampire movie? After all, we know all the trails: they jump like invisible pogo sticks, and their leader is a gorilla who wants to marry a ghost witch. Typical! Robo vampire refuses blood and just wants to suck.
Fun in balloon land
I have a lot to say about Fun in Balloon Land, but there’s just one problem: it’s incredibly hard to describe. This event. Trying to describe its plot to you would be like trying to divide by zero. There are balloons, there are children, there is a parade, and thankfully there were cameras filming the madness. This sight is so far-fetched and confusing that you’ll have to double-check to make sure you haven’t entered an alternate reality. Grab a balloon, say a prayer and buckle up!

RollerGator
We showed RollerGator in our announcement trailer, but it definitely deserves a second mention. If you scoop up a pile of mucus from a buried gutter, submerge a couple of electrodes in it, feed it a protein-rich formula, sending bursts of ever-increasing voltage through it until it shows the most basic signs of what could technically be considered life, immediately handed a bunch of goo video camera, it’s impossible that she made a film worse than Rollergator.
In addition to feature films, RiffTrax: The Game also includes clips from over 30 short films, including the legendary Shake Hands with Danger.
Handshake with danger
The world of safety training films falls into two distinct categories: the danger handshake and the rest. If you like flowing hair, huge glasses, and an eighth grade mustache, then this is the short for you. On the other hand, “Shake Hands with Danger” has a hell of a theme song. I mean, just listen to this!
This guitar riff spanks! I love how this guy has to awkwardly hold a wrench throughout the title page. He really went the extra mile.
In addition to these movies, we’ve added classic RiffTrax movies to the game such as Attack of the Super Monsters, Plan 9 from Outer Space, The Pure Club, Charade, The Talking Machine, Gorilla Bride, and many, many more. .
Of course, this is not the end! I’m happy to announce that we’ll be adding over 100 new clips soon after launch (as a free update), followed by regular content updates.
While you can play alone, RiffTrax: The Game is best played with a couple of friends. So please grab a friend (or a shark) and jump in. We hope to see you all greet danger and play with the balloon (from your plastic bubble) on May 5th. Enjoy!
