Over the holidays, I caught up with my backlog thanks to Apple TV+ offer for ps5. For me, one of the highlights was The Servant, a psychological thriller from director M. Night Shyamalan.
Season 3 of The Servant premieres this Friday on Apple TV+, with new twists and turns that touch the minds of the Turner family. Ahead of the season premiere, I caught up with (Pennsylvania fellow!) M. Night Shyamalan to delve into the mind behind the madness.
Here is a short excerpt in which Shyamalan describes what he likes about working on The Servant:
“You know, making a movie every two years is kind of an isolated, lonely thing. And it’s not, and I love that aspect of having a kind of film school along with people that I respect and love and I can just follow whatever interests I have. So it became like a little mini-studio where I watch a movie, like at a film festival, and I’m like, “Wow, who made this?” and I say, “Oh, that’s her name. She’s a filmmaker and lives in Sweden and does it,” and then I call her and I talk to her and I’m like, “Wow, I really think you’d be great for the show I’m doing. Could you come to Philadelphia and film an episode?”
