Legendary Fights, FPS & Sports Experience in New PS4 Tournaments – PlayStation.Blog

Looking back over the past year, we are grateful for the growth of our competitive gaming community and excited for what lies ahead. Over the next two months, we will offer a set of new competitive software for PlayStation Tournaments with new features for look, to studyand play.
A look back at PS4 tournaments in 2021
Last year was the richest for us in events and competitions. PlayStation players walked away with over $5 million in prizes from over 8,000 tournaments. We have also seen over 500,000 participants win prizes from our competitions, a number we aim to beat in 2022.
We were delighted to introduce Flash Round tournaments recently. These are dynamic competitions without brackets and exceptions. Since each round lasts no more than one match, players can participate in multiple flash rounds in order to rack up as many wins as possible and get bigger prizes at the end of the tournament. You can sign up for flash rounds at FIFA 22 or NBA 2K22 either in the Competition Center or on the PS4 console*.
Upcoming PS4 Programs
In our upcoming competitions, players can look forward to shorter wait times between games, new formats, expanded prize pools, and more chances to win prizes, including PlayStation-themed avatars and PS4 themes just by participating. Here are some of the new and upcoming programs coming to PlayStation Tournaments, and more.
