Konami Teases Reveal Of Games It Says Are ‘Deeply And Quietly Being Developed’

Konami has said it plans to introduce even more new games, building on its recently unveiled plans to revive classic franchises.

As part of the New Year’s greetings (published on Famitsu), the company mentioned “new games for established series”, probably referring to the list of Silent Hill games and the Castlevania collaboration announced last year.

However, he said he also has new project announcements going “in depth and quiet” behind the scenes.

“Happy New Year to all game fans,” Konami said in a greeting. “Thank you so much for enjoying the many Konami games over the past year.

“This year is the year of the Rabbit, and we are planning new games for established series to achieve even greater success.

“In addition, new projects that we have yet to announce to you are also deep and quiet. Please look forward to future Konami announcements.”

VGC first reported in 2021 that Konami is looking to revive many of its core franchises, including Silent Hill (which was eventually announced last year), Castlevania and Metal Gear.

Sources claimed that one of the games being developed by Singapore-based support studio Virtuous was a new version of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. A recruiting video posted by the company later hinted at the project.

The Silent Hill 2 remake was one of several projects announced by Konami in October, along with Silent Hill Townfall from developer Observation No Code and another new game called Silent Hill F.

Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania was announced last month, a DLC crossover featuring the legendary Konami franchise.
