The first season of the stairs is already on the air
Dive into the action with this ranked competitive system in a series of available modes featuring new Ladder-specific characters. Gain experience by competing in various modes, each with its own leaderboard. For a limited period of time, you can also access Ladder-specific content such as new runic words and Horadric Cube recipes. The leaderboard rankings will be reset after the end of the ladder season, and characters will go into no ladder mode. This will give you the opportunity to save your hard-earned valuable Ladder-related trophies and items for future Ladder seasons.

Class changes
For the first time in over eleven years, each class will undergo a balance update that will greatly improve the gameplay experience. After listening to the thoughts, opinions, and responses of players, a lot of changes have been made to the game to increase the viability of each class while maintaining the class fantasy of our favorite heroes. These balance adjustments were created with a focus on expanding the variety of skills and adding more viable options to play with each class. The game is built around completing Acts on every difficulty, so these updates should give players the ability to play their heroes the way they prefer, and even increase the effectiveness of lesser-used skills.
Uber Diablo Changes
Selling Stone of Jordan Rings will still allow you to summon Uber Diablo to Diablo 2: Resurrection same as v1.10. To improve the experience for the entire community, the regional database will now store Uber Diablo progress for each game type. Uber Diablo will appear for everyone in the same region, rather than those on the same server instance, once enough Stone of Jordan Rings have been sold. The update also tracks Uber Diablo progress for each game type, with a total of 8 tracked progressions (Classic, Classic Hardcore (HC), Classic Ladder, Classic HC Ladder, Expansion, Expansion HC, Expansion Ladder, Expansion HC Ladder). To help players better prepare, we’ve added new messages to help players anticipate when Uber Diablo might arrive and experience the true horror of Uber Diablo.

New Runic Words, Recipes, Mercenary Updates, and More
A small amount of new content awaits you as you move on to updates from patch 2.4. Experience new runic words that can be crafted and slotted into matching socketed gear. New Horadric Cube recipes have been added to complement Set items. Mercenaries now match your character’s level when they are hired, rather than being randomly different from your character’s level. In addition, you’ll find updates to item set bonus changes, new level area changes, item tooltip changes, and other gameplay changes.
