Japan Charts: eBaseball Powerful Pro 2022 is a home run as Kirby drops to third

We have sales figures from the latest Japanese Famitsu charts, and during the week of April 18-24, Kirby and the Forgotten Land was dethroned by a double attack from eBaseball Powerful Pro Baseball 2022.

The latest entry in the hugely popular Internet baseball The series smashed the competition, selling a total of 147,263 retail copies between Switch and PS4 releases, with the Nintendo version alone selling a whopping 92,724 units. Kirby is still in pretty good health – another 29,281 sales helped the pink puffball sell over 600,000 sales in Japan alone, which is really impressive.

There were two more new Switch releases this week that accompanied the baseball giant. Yomawari 3the third installment in the Nippon Ichi horror series debuted at an impressive fifth place, while the long-awaited Pocky & Rocky Reshrined also took tenth place.

Looking at equipment sales, there is not much difference here. Switch OLED sales increased compared to the previous week from 27,303 to 32,916, while the regular Switch model is still in second place. Combine the combined sales of these two products with those of the Switch Lite and the Nintendo console will likely cross the 25 million mark very soon. Speaking of Lite, it’s been swapped with the PlayStation 5 again as Sony’s console sales have picked up a bit.
