Today is the day thousands of people go to Google and search for “How do I watch the Super Bowl?” or “When is the Super Bowl?” And today I have some answers about how to watch a big game on one of your game consoles.

super bowl always one of the biggest TV events of the year and always attracts a large TV audience in the USA. Last year, the broadcast was watched by more than 95 million viewers. But as more people, myself included, cut the cord, many fans want to watch the big game through the magic of the internet. So I’m here to help. I’m assuming you’ve already set up your Internet connection and figured out how to use it. So let’s move on to the next steps.

When is the Super Bowl?

Super Bowl 56 starts February 13, 2022. The game is scheduled to kick off at 3:30 pm PT / 6:30 pm EST on NBC. For those who really only care about the halftime show, it will most likely start around 5:00 PM PT / 8:00 PM ET. (Times vary, as it’s hard to predict exactly how long the first half of the game will be.)

How do I stream a BIG GAME on my console?

It depends on your console! But before we move on, the only way to (legally) stream a game on modern consoles requires a premium streaming subscription plan. So keep that in mind!

Anyway, let’s start with the Xbox.

On the Xbox One or Xbox Series S/X you have several different options. You can watch the game through NBC’s Peacock app with premium or premium plus plan. But any app that lets you access NBC will also let you watch this year’s Super Bowl. So, on an Xbox that includes Hulu with a Live TV subscription, YouTube through a YouTube TV plan, fuboTVor SlingTV.

On the PS5 and PS4 currently you don’t have many options.

Again, any streaming app available on Sony’s consoles that also provides access to NBC could give you access to this year’s Super Bowl. On PS5 and PS4 including: Hulu with live streaming subscription, YouTube via YouTube TV planor the NBC Peacock app with any of the previously mentioned subscription plans.

Many of these services offer free trials if you haven’t used them yet. Others, like Peacock, are pretty darn cheap. So, you pay $5 a month, watch the game, and then you can stream. Office or other NBC shows and movies for a few weeks until your plan expires.

Like me watch Super Bowl for FREE even without a console?

Let’s say you don’t have or don’t want to use any of the previously listed streaming services. Maybe you only have a Switch or a PS2. I don’t know your life situation. But there’s another easy way to watch the Super Bowl. is free. This is how I have observed it for many years.

How? Just buy a cheap one (bnot too cheap…) indoor digital television antenna. At the same time, assuming you can get a good signal, you can watch the big game and all the commercials no extra broadcast fee. It’s also handy if you’ve lost internet access for some reason and still want to watch something on TV. bRoadcast TV isn’t filled with great content, but something is better than nothing.

You can also try watching a great gaming video on Twitch or YouTube, as people will try to stream it on those sites all night long. But be careful: NBC and NFL are very good at finding and killing those who are free. flows. So if you find one, don’t get too relaxed with it, as it will probably be taken down in a few minutes.
