Granzella announces R-Type Tactics I and II remakes

If you’re an R-Type fan, you might be interested to know that turn-based strategy/tactical RPG remakes R-Type I and II Tactics were announced.

Released in 2007 and 2009, these classic Irem PSP games will be handled by Granzella (consisting of former members of the Irem team) as announced during the company’s latest livestream. These remakes will apparently be available as a “single”.

The first game, known in North America as R-Type Command, was released in the West in 2008. However, the sequel was never made available outside of Japan.

Platforms and release dates have not yet been announced, as well as localization. If we hear any updates, we will be sure to let you know.
