When it comes to Zelda weapons, the old “ones are usually the best” in our book. The Legend of Zelda: Lament of the Wild it might give you a wealth of fresh swords and spears and incandescent Guardian blades to experiment with, but once you get your gloves on the Master Sword – the sacred blade of the series – it can be hard to get back to using anything else.
Pulling the Blade of Evil’s Bane from its stone in the forest isn’t just a case of giving it a firm shot – you’ll have to collect a not insignificant 13 hearts before you have the strength to handle it. Well, what era the case, even if a newly discovered glitch allows you to pick up the sword no matter how many hearts you have.
Using only a field fire (which you create by leaving some wood in the chosen spot and lighting the fire) to “rest”, it is possible to take the sword from the stone by simply pressing the “A” button while waking up after a few goodbyes – now. Apparently discovered by Bot_W on Twitter, we haven’t even tried it ourselves, though Reinvented Gaming has and has made a video that shows how easy it is:
Once you have access to Korok Forest, simply sleep by a fireball on the triangular hoof of your sword and hammer the “A” button when you wake up. You can take the Master Sword without the required number of hearts and you will be free to release its tremendous power much sooner in the game than you should.
Good news for everyone, then! Well, not for the various monsters and best of the game, but don’t get me wrong – they’re digital. Just recently we saw that the Yiga Clan will happily take the Master Sword if a problem is used to spread it in Korok Forest, then it seems that the bad guys have a chance to become Hyrule’s hero, too.
Let me know below if you have experienced this problem below.
