Funky Monster-Fusing Pokémon-Like “Cassette Beasts” Hits Switch This Spring

Bytten has announced the release date for their unique monster-catching RPG Cassette Beasts. The game launches on Steam, Microsoft Store and PC Game Pass on April 26th, and on Switch later in the spring – meaning we won’t actually have to wait long to get these little guys together.

In Cassette Beasts, you don’t just catch your monsters and fight them Pokemon or Digimon style. And you use the tape to “catch” them. But the best part is that you, the player character, can fuse with these creatures yourself. or you can fuse them with other monsters.

Over 100 monsters can be collected and transformed on New Wirral Island, from creatures with tridents to ghostly ghosts. And they all look adorable in this gorgeous pixel style. We’re pretty sure we spotted the Kamen Rider-inspired bug in the trailer upstairs, and we can’t wait to see all the new creatures in action.
