Welcome to the future! Yes, we finally got through ‘2020: Part Deux’ and now we are safely living in 2022 – the first year since the millennium, in which three identical numbers live. * Waiting for everyone to confirm that this is indeed the case * …

The past year has been another difficult year for so many people because of one and the other (and one more, and Other). Restrictions designed to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and the Omicron variant are either already in place or will soon appear in many countries around the world, and it is clear that it will be a long time before things return to relative normality.

Watching world news over the past 12 months has been sobering at the best of times – and the video game industry has definitely had its fair share of sad stories throughout 2021 – but anyone with a Switch has at least been able to enjoy some really great games. which runs all year round. It may be a little consolation, but games have once again become a wonderful survival mechanism for millions of people around the world; a way to relax and stay connected with the people closest to us when we are physically separated.

And looking into the future as we travel in January 2022 is already shaping up pretty well for Switch owners, and there are sure to be many unexpected announcements throughout the year. Later this month we’ll kick off with a new and potentially very addictive Pokémon game, and at the end of the half year (hopefully) looming like a behemoth will be Breath of the Wild 2. How cute. ” I will call him by my name soon.

We all crossed our fingers that 2022 is going to be a great year, and everyone here at Nintendo Life – leadership, staff and contributors – wish you the healthiest, safest and most incredibly happy New Year. To your health!

We hope you feel vibrant and fresh on this first day of the year, but if you overdid it last night, be sure to sit back and chill out today playing some of the best video games available to humanity. They are restorative, and this is not a lie. Let us know below how you will spend your day and what your plans are for 2022.
