First episode of the 40s-inspired Pokémon cartoon now on Pokémon TV

Back in 2020, The Pokémon Company launched a brand new cartoon aimed at kids in Japan. Inspired by Western animation and cartoons from the 1940s, PokeTun was a series of eight animated shorts in which different Pokémon performed tricky and funny antics.

And now PokéToon animations are coming to Pokémon TV worldwide! The show’s first episode, titled “Scraggy and Mimikyu,” features Generations 5 and 6 Pokémon when Slim is trying to find snacks and Mimikyu just wants a friend!

The show will be added to the Pokémon TV service every Friday for the next eight weeks and will be available later this year on YouTube. Today’s episode is the first, so we still have seven weeks of wholesome fun ahead of us.
