Fans of Legend Of Zelda accuse indie game of ‘robbing’ Link’s Awakening

New indie project called out of place caused by Legend of Zelda fans in social networks for allegedly copying the Grezzo Switch release Link’s awakening.

This Metroidvania was featured on the latest IGN Rogue Jam and was created by independent developer Sohail Giami. As you can see in the video above, it may take a lot more than just “inspiration” from the Zelda series.

Having said that, some people are also defending the game, noting that it’s an amazing job for a team of just two developers (called Clear Sky Games).

While the title was one of the contenders for IGN’s latest competition, it didn’t win – the judges also raised concerns about the similarity to Link’s 2019 island adventure on Switch. The intended plan is to eventually release on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.

If we hear any news about this project, we will let you know.
