Gamers have until Sunday, September 25th to play the demo, and survivors will receive a special “Crouching Dragon Helmet” that can be equipped and used in the main game upon release.
But before you jump into action, I’m here to share my top five tips and tricks to help you wear that cute helmet when the game launches in early 2023.
one. Character Creation
Before you dive into the supernatural world of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, you need to create a character worthy of the challenge. In particular, you should pay attention to one parameter, which is called “Phase”. The phase is based on the five elements (fire, water, earth, wood and metal) and depending on the phase you choose you will be equipped with certain stats, magic spells and armor (and you will even be equipped with a divine beast!). Also, depending on which phase you choose, you will have one specific weapon to start the game with, from a one-handed sword to dual swords and a glaive. Every weapon has at least one unique martial arts technique, but there are some rare weapons that have two. If you’re offensively inclined and want to jump right into the action, I recommend starting with fire because of its offensive abilities and cool magic spells that will really make you shoot fire at your enemies.
2. Spirit
Once in the demo level, the first thing you need to pay attention to is your spirit gauge and how it changes throughout the game. The spirit bar is at the bottom of the screen, and you’ll see it lean to the left or right during battle, the bar lean to the left when it’s depleted, and lean to the right as your spirit rises. Your spirit is depleted when you use strong attacks such as martial arts or sorcery, but it rises again when you successfully land quick strikes or parry enemy attacks. You need to balance your offense and defense during battle so you know which attacks to use and when, while still making sure you don’t run out of breath. When the bar is almost depleted, this is the perfect time to unleash your most powerful sorcery spells.
3. Morality and perseverance
Morality is an important factor in the game. High morale will make you stronger and also unlock new sorcery spells. Controlling the battlefield or defeating strong enemies will help raise your morale, and the higher your morale, the stronger your character will become. But it’s not just Morale when it comes to a well-trained soldier. It is also important to increase your Fortitude level by placing Marking Flags and Battle Flags on the map. For example, if you die at morale level 5 but don’t find any flags to raise your stamina, you will drop back to morale level 0 when you restart the game. However, if you die at morale level 5 but find markings or battle flags to raise your Fortitude, you will retain your morale level equal to the level of Fortitude you set.
Since maintaining a high level of Fortitude in the game will not let you lose all the morale gained, be sure to explore all the possible routes in the demo. At the same time, be careful when approaching enemies with high morale. You will be rewarded if you defeat them, but if you fight a high morale enemy before you are ready, not only can you die quickly, but that enemy’s morale level will increase by 1 when he defeats you. , making them harder to defeat the next time you encounter them.
four. magic
As your morale increases, you will unlock more magical spells based on your character’s chosen phase. These sorcery spells vary from element to element and include everything from offensive to defensive skills. For example: in the water phase there are stealth spells that will help you sneak up on enemies from behind and get them out from behind, and in the wood phase there are more support and recovery spells to help warriors recover and heal. Using these spells can help you defeat stronger enemies, especially when playing with other friends when your team has different phases.
5. Reject
When fighting one or more enemies, you can defend yourself by parrying their attacks to avoid getting hit. It will also lift your spirit and prepare you for the next attack. It’s easier to predict strikes from smaller enemies like demons due to their lack of offensive attacks, but larger enemies like tiger man can be very difficult. Even if you don’t target enemies directly, as long as you parry the attack at the right time, you will avoid taking damage, break their spirit, and possibly stun them to help prepare for the next takedown. This is very useful when you can repel an attack and strike back at the right time!
