Back in March 2020 neat little puzzle platformer called Wunderling puts you in the shoes of the most unassuming opponents of platform games, desperately trying to defeat the “hero” of the work and please the villainous boss. The game was a fun and fresh take on a genre that has quite a few video games, and the Swedish developer Battlewave Games (formerly Retroid Interactive) announced an update in the form of Wunderling DXThe free update will be released on March 8th.
Wunderling DX adds a brand new world consisting of 14 levels where you Continue to thwart the efforts of Carrot Man, the hero of the Plant Kingdom. In addition to new levels, there are also new items, plot twists and a fast track timer. This update will be the last for the game and a kickstand for Bitwave Games as it says goodbye to its old “Retroid Interactive” banner.
You can check out the new additions in the trailer above, or take a look at the update in the screens below:
We gave the Wunderling (non-DX version) a well deserved 8/10 and our review said the following:
By removing the basic ability to change direction while walking, Wunderling proves to be an incredibly addictive platformer that boasts excellent level design, a brilliant script, and amazing visuals. Its impressive accessibility means that just about anyone can pick it up, yet it remains challenging enough to keep you occupied for hours.
Let us know below if you’ve played Wunderling, or if this new update has you interested in walking the mile in goomba boots as soon as it releases on March 8th.
