Exclusive: Moonstone Island is an utterly charming deck with a retro Zelda vibe

Take farming and home decorating in Stardew Valley, dungeon crawling in Minish Cap, and combine them with role-playing combat in a beautifully designed, top-down pixelated world, and you have Moonstone Island, a game that took off very quickly before our eyes. “Who’s watching” list.

You train as an alchemist and spend a year in the wilderness to master your arcane techniques and figure out how to restore Moonstone Island and the city to their former glory. You travel in a hot air balloon, broomstick and glider to access over 120 procedurally generated sky islands populated with monsters to fight and dungeons to explore. You can even build your house on any of the islands, in any of the biomes!

Moonstone Island has a lot of features that fans of farming simulators want so much: you can fall in love with the locals, cultivate your own land, decorate your little house, and create many potion recipes to help you on your journey, or furniture. to decorate your home.

What sets Moonstone Island apart from farm sims is its combat – you’ll be able to befriend wild spirits to fight alongside you in card battles, and you can customize your deck as you go, improving and optimizing as you go.

A specific release date for Moonstone Island has yet to be confirmed other than “soon”, but it’s planned for Nintendo Switch!
