Hello everyone, I’m Jae Yu, Game Director of Eternights and Founder of Studio Sai. We’ve done a lot of hard work since our announcement last year, and we have a lot to share with you.
As you may know, Eternights is a unique combination of dating and action where players can explore a post-apocalyptic world filled with danger, love and adventure. The game combines a gripping romance storyline with intense combat to provide players with an immersive and memorable gaming experience.
A dating game where you can fall in love in the most unexpected place: at the end of the world.
Changes made to Eternights since first announced last year
Since our announcement in June 2022, we have made numerous updates to Eternights, but unfortunately we cannot mention them all as the list is quite extensive. The most important aspect we focused on was improving the overall gameplay and immersion so that players can truly immerse themselves in the game’s characters and story. We want people to feel like they’re living in a game world and experiencing the story themselves.
To achieve this goal, we have made a concerted effort to improve the user interface, making it more intuitive and seamless. Another key aspect of this is the re-timing of dungeons, which highlights the importance of time management. To further enhance the sense of urgency, we have dedicated significant resources to the development and implementation of the calendar and deadline in-game interface. This allows players to easily track and manage their progress and adds an extra layer of tension and excitement to the game.
We’ve put a lot of effort into ensuring that the dialogue UI is seamlessly integrated into the overall world of Eternights, enhancing the player’s immersion in the game.
Eternights features fast-paced real-time combat with many options such as elemental attacks, perfect dodges, parries, special skills, and Confidant combat skills that can be overwhelming for players. Therefore, the team has put a lot of effort into improving the user interface during combat to make it smoother and more intuitive, allowing players to focus more on the game’s narrative and plot.
We’ve also made significant changes to the environments and level design of Eternights to give players more reason to explore dungeons with their favorite confidants. The game world is detailed and varied, with new areas to discover, enemies to defeat and challenges to overcome. The level design was designed to create a sense of exploration and adventure, encouraging players to explore the game’s world further.
In addition to gameplay and UI improvements, we’ve also made major changes to characters, main storyline, combat, and mini-games. These updates provide players with more fun and dynamic gameplay, new challenges and opportunities to explore both the characters and the world of Eternights.
One of the most exciting updates we’ve made is the addition of Japanese and Korean voice acting to the game. This will allow players to experience the story in their preferred language. We will soon be announcing the Japanese voice actors who have agreed to bring their unique energy and talents to the game. We can’t say much other than that they are well-known figures in the anime industry who have already lent their voices to other beloved characters.
Eternights is coming to PS5 and PS4 this summer and we hope you enjoy all the updates and improvements we’ve made to the game. The team has been hard at work creating a unique and captivating world, and we can’t wait for you to jump into the world of Eternights and experience it for yourself.
