Brand new update for Cyberpunk 2077 An update called Edgerunners is now available, just in time for the premiere of the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime series! It brings a lot of new content including features that are hotly requested by the community. We’re very excited to bring this to you, and here we’ll dive into what you can get when you download. Let’s start with the obvious – the influence of the Edgerunners. It’s more than just a catchy update name; with the Edgerunners update, we really tried to make the anime series we created in collaboration with Studio Trigger and Netflix look like part Cyberpunk 2077 World. That’s why you’ll find some Edgerunners goodies in the game taken straight from the anime, including a shotgun used by one of the series’ characters, as well as a legendary jacket that will require some extra work to find (no spoilers!), ready for your V to use.
Outside Cyberpunk: Edge Runners nicely, the Edgerunners update (also known as patch 1.6) adds a lot of other content to the game. There are a few features that the community is talking about a lot, and that’s the main part of this update, listening to the community and adding cool stuff that just makes the game more fun, more fun, and more personal. One of these features is the Wardrobe. This is the name of our clothing transmogrification system. With this system, players can now use any apartment they have access to to create their own outfits using the clothes they own. This means creating a completely new style, completely your own – without any influence on the characteristics of your clothes. You can customize your outfits and save up to 6 of them, and then you can access any saved outfit right from your inventory at any time. Transmogrified clothing is displayed on V as a holographic projection, so it does not affect stats; it’s just a tool for you to experiment and create styles that your V can then rock on the streets of Night City.
It has a lot of Easter eggs Cyberpunk 2077but cockroach race The slot machines that can be seen in Night City are definitely one of the most popular. They were a nice visual addition to the game, but served no functional purpose…until now! With the Edgerunners update, you can now play cockroach race a mini game for yourself in the arcade machines in the city, and by getting high scores you will even unlock some rewards like money and unique items. And to make it even more meta, we also released a free version cockroach race on iOS and Android – so you can play the game wherever you want, whether you’re in Cyberpunk 2077 or in the real world.
Photo Mode is one of the most popular tools in the game. We see players sharing amazing shots on social media, and we’ve even hosted photo mode challenges for our community to participate in. So how can we make it even better? Easy: Cats. Well, one cat in particular is Nibbles! With this update, once you’ve earned Nibbles’ trust and he’s settled into your apartment, you’ll be able to pose with him in photo mode anywhere in Night City! Our prediction is that Nibbles will appear more and more on social media now that he is ready to be in the spotlight.
Apart from the content highlighted so far, we also have a selection of new weapons, new gigs, and a pretty important feature for cross-platform progression. You can now upload your progress to the cloud and access your saves across the platforms you have the game on. This is a useful feature that can make life easier for players and really helps to enhance the game experience. So, for example, you can download to Xbox Series X|S, save your progress, and seamlessly return to PC. Careful!
We also have the highly anticipated 60FPS performance mode coming to Xbox Series S consoles. This has been something players have been asking about since our next-gen update, and it’s nice to say we’ve put in the effort to make this feature available now. In this mode, the game targets 60fps at 900p with dynamic resolution scaling in the 800-1080p range.
