Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires demo lets you try the game ahead of next month’s launch

Fans will be able to check out Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires on Switch and other platforms before the game launches next month with a free demo launching today.

The demo, available on the Switch web store, features the game’s brand new advanced castle sieges, including both invasion and defense battles, allowing players to storm an enemy castle or fight to defend their stronghold in what’s called a “challenging » training. You’ll also be able to check out its “edit” mode, where you can create your own officers before taking them into battle.

The best part is that any characters you create can be transferred to the full game (provided you buy the game on the same platform). Here’s what’s coming to the full game next month:

■ Freely command your armies! Thrilling castle sieges!
Combat has evolved from the “Battles” of previous games to “Castle Sieges” that take place in the area of each castle. In an ever-changing environment, use cunning planning and military might to enjoy this new style of battle where the biggest question is “What’s the best way to take this castle?”

■ A political system where the character and trust of an officer can strengthen the country.
In politics, the choice of officers and the interaction between them will determine the basis of power. Players can lead a variety of lifestyles as Rulers, Generals, Unaffiliated Officers, and more. In addition, the interaction of officers with other officers will help strengthen the country of which they are a part.

■ Live effectively! Advanced “Editing Mode”.
The game includes an edit mode, a favorite of the series. Players can create their own custom officers from a wide variety of parts.
With 94 Musou officers and over 700 versatile officers appearing in DYNASTY WARRIORS 9, players can fill out their own Dynasty Warriors experience more dramatically.

Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires will be released on Switch on February 15, and will also be released on Xbox and PlayStation consoles, on Steam and Google Stadia.
