After months of speculation and clever Instagram jokes, Dwayne Johnson is revealed as the voice of the Foundation in a dramatic conclusion to the film. Fortnite chapter two. See how the Rock literally turns the entire island upside down.

The Foundation is the leader of the Seven, an organization committed to keeping Imaginary Order (IO) from misusing the connection of all reality in the world. Fortnite… Appearing as a helmeted figure earlier in Fortnitein the second chapter, as well as in a special Batman / Fortnite comic crossover, today the Foundation’s face finally popped off, revealing Dwayne Johnson’s handsome mug.

Johnson’s looks are no surprise to discerning Instagram followers. A couple of days ago, the wrestler / actor posted what looked like an advertisement for the energy drink Zoa in his Instabut inside the drinks refrigerator was a replica of the Foundation helmet.

The Foundation played an important role in today’s one-off event “The End” in Fortnite… As the Queen of Cubes, who has besieged the island for most of Season 8, prepares a final assault on the forces of good, the Foundation arrives at a familiar bunker deep beneath the island’s surface just in time to save Jonesy from destruction. the hands of the sinister Dr. Sloane. Jonesy and the Foundation head to the bunker control room, where the couple prepares to take us to the other side.

Cut to the surface where another member of the Seven known as the Scientist is voiced by someone very much like Joel McHale from Community, leads players to the core of the island. As the entire continent begins to tilt, players are thrown into the ocean, where they witness the final demise of the Queen of Cubes. It turns out that even a creature with absolute strength cannot survive if an entire island falls on its head.

You can watch the whole event from my point of view in the video below. Attentive observers will spot the ex Kotaku Managing Editor Riley MacLeod, in the guise of a wildcat, accompanies my unicorn on an adventure. Towards the end, there is some lag and elasticity, but the whole story is right here.

As always with these finals, Fortnite is currently out of service for a few days as Epic prepares for the start of Chapter 3. The island is now upside down, so we get a completely new map. Epic has a website set up that will reveal a new map once enough people tweet with the hashtag #Fortniteflipped.
