Kotaku published a story yesterday stating that The Witcher 3 next gen update added realistic vaginas, and suggesting these kitties were one of many fan-made mods added by CDPR to the updated game. When we reached out for comment, CDPR first said Kotaku that the company is “looking into this and will have more information in the coming days” but it now appears that the vaginas were added in error. At least that’s what they tell us in an emailed statement:

“New generation version The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt contains several community-created mods not created by CD PROJEKT RED, in addition to numerous improvements created and implemented by the studio in-house. Merging everything together was a complex process, and the textures in question are an unintended result present in the release version. That’s what we’re working on.”
