The Guardians persevered under a sky covered by the Infinite Night. Trusting each other and their new allies Eliksni, the Vex simulation was canceled, expelled, crashed. With the Sun rising over the Last City once again, it never seemed more appropriate to kiss in the brave bravery that encourages us even in the face of the most challenging challenges. And so, it’s time to celebrate. The Hero’s Solstice is back.
Everyone is invited
New players, veterans, Season Pass holders, or free players – no matter how you play Destiny 2, Eva Levante invites you to participate in the festivities. Meet the neighbor at the Statue of Heroes in the Tower and begin your quest to unlock some of the most attractive armor in the game.
Your adventure will take you through the high-speed, high-flying landscape that is the European Air Zone and give you strength with elementary enthusiasts every day. Even if you participated in the celebration last year, there are a few new torches and Bungie Rewards in 2021 that you’ll want to check out.
Bright as the Sun.
A core part of the Heroes Solstice experience is the search for the legendary incandescent Solstice armor. Start with a meeting with Eva Levante in the Tower and learn a little about what Heroes ’Solstice is, and why it holds such importance for Guardians and citizens.
After getting acquainted with our celebratory herald, you will go with a set of basic armor that you will start to upgrade by playing a variety of activities. The armor goes through various repair stages before reaching the Magnificent stage. When you complete this final level, a distinctive white bath will begin to emanate from the set.
European Air Zone
One of the highlights of the Solstice event is the opening of the European Air Zone (EAZ). This limited-time activity (in more ways than one) puts players against the clock in a race to eliminate as many heads as possible. After the bosses are shot down, then another race begins: a treasure hunt.
The helmets fall across the board and it’s up to your three-player firet crew to cleverly navigate the landscape and reclaim rewards before time runs out.
New in 2021 are additional jumps that increase traverse options as well as an update that permanently shows where the treasure chests are during the final part of the race. In previous years, the search for them was a component – now, it’s just about speed.
Regardless of what activity you enjoy, a rotating set of buffs will become available for the duration of the event. Each buff is based on one of the four elements in the game: Arc, Solar, Void, and – for the first time in Destiny – Stasis.
Each day will feature one of these elements and challenge players to align their subclass to charge the associated buff. Combine perfect construction, charge, and buff to solve enemies (in EAZ and outside) without breaking a sweat.
- Arc: Move with increased speed and deal greater melee and Sword damage.
- Solar: The Guardians emit a burning wave of energy that damages everything around them.
- Void: Crouch while being able to become invisible and gain Truesight plus increased ability regeneration.
- Stasi: Elimination results in an unstable Stasis crystal that floats high and rotates for a few seconds before detonating, damaging, and slowing down enemies trapped in the blow.
Along with the introduction of the Stasis buff, we’ve also added a new elementary game called Prism. In Prism days, every element is in play and any buff can be loaded – it’s up to players to choose which subclass best suits the situation.
Classify each Legendary piece of armor with universal ornaments that apply a special Solstice glow to match your subclass. These are available throughout the event at Eververse store for Silver or Bright Dust.
Nine rewards have been added to an amazing series of collections available through the Bungie Rewards program.
Players can immortalize their participation in the 2021 event with the Heroes 2021 Solstice emblem. The new emblem is unlocked soon as players complete the introductory journey.
Those who purchase their final Solstice armor set will unlock the exclusive Heroes of Solstice 2021 jersey to purchase at the Bungie Store.
