Danganronpa creator doesn’t rule out a return to the series

Series creator Kazutaka Kodaka is currently working on his next big project in the form of Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE, but his previous work is always buried deep in his memory.

In an excerpt from an interview with TwinfiniteKodaka-san revealed that he always wanted to create new intellectual property after Danganronpa, but he’s still definitely ready to return to the school’s halls of Hope’s Peak Academy – or wherever Danganronpa takes him. He didn’t ask developer Spike Chunsoft about making a new entry in the series because he wanted to do something new, but that doesn’t mean it’s over:

“It’s not that I don’t want to make another Danganronpa game, but I have a lot of ideas and I want to create something new. Maybe someday I’ll be back. Danganronpa is more of a niche game and I’m currently working on more, but it would be great to return to Danganronpa at some point after that.”
