Crunchyroll is now available on the Switch

Slowly, So slow, The Switch is adding more media apps to its library. We have YouTube, Twitch and Pokémon TV and now we can add Crispy roll to a listing available from both the European and North American online store.

It is a familiar and famous service with a huge collection of anime that you can watch for free with ads or with various privileges if you sign up for an account and paid subscriptions. For beginners, there is also a 14-day free trial.

We tested the app and it seems solid; the image quality in handheld mode was excellent in the episode “Attack on Titan” and could be viewed even without creating an account. It appears to be a fully functional version of the app, subscribers can also download shows for offline viewing.

Another welcome addition to the Switch, we’d say – let us know in the comments if you’re planning on checking it out.
