A good trend of the last few years has been the growing normality of multiplayer online multiplayer, helping to ensure that whatever your system of choice you have a better chance of finding full lobbies. Crash Drive 3, from M2H, launched today on Switch and on nine platforms – including stores for PCs, consoles and smart devices – to deliver just that, with its promise of car chaos in a “huge open world”.
As you can see in the trailer above it’s a game that goes for crazy jumps, tanks and other shenanigans. Although multiplayer is clearly a focus, it also promises options to a player; it seems that you can either explore and engage or face structured challenges to advance your progress.
Below is a bit of blurb from the press release explaining what this is all about.
Take the wheel and experience ridiculous fun in this multiplayer, free roaming multiplayer game! Drive crazy vehicles including monster trucks, tanks, and even more in a vast open world. Play online or in a full single player. Go ahead, play events, earn money, unlock new cars and discover secrets … Crash Drive 3 has everything fans will love in Crash Drive 2, up to 11 and with the full cross-platform between 9 different platforms – all free on the same day as the fans are craving!
There are five different areas of a vast open world to discover, with a variety of frequent competitive events that everyone in the game can combine. Whether it’s a game of cops and thieves, trying to tag the most landscape with stunt, or destroying a giant beach ball, it’s sure to be a wild time! There are also tank battles in the air to explore … and if you just want to ignore all that and goof around, that’s fine too!
It’s on the eShop now and its standard price will be € 16.99 / $ 19.99 / £ 14.99, but there’s a 25% launch discount so it’s actually £ 11.24 at the moment in the British magazine, as an example.
