CD Projekt Red Showcases The Witcher 3 Netflix Free DLC Update Coming December 14th

In case you missed it, CD Projekt Red’s award-winning The Witcher 3 video game is getting a “next-gen” update on December 14th.
As part of this, several Witcher Netflix add-ons will also be added to the game – even for the Nintendo Switch. In a new livestream, CDPR briefly outlined what players can expect. Instead of just passing on new themed gear and items to players, there will actually be a “DLC” quest for it all.
“We just thought if we were offering all these new armors, swords, items that we just want to feel a little more part of the game, and of course if it’s cool armor like the other armors in the game. there must be some kind of quest or related content. So we tried to make a quest that would make it part of the game.”
The team even brought back Geralt’s voice actors (including Doug Cockle) to voice and record a few lines for this new DLC update.
So what can you expect from this DLC? It looks like there will be season 1 and 2 Geralt armor and swords from the Netflix show, an alternate skin for Buttercup, and Nilfgaardian armor based on the show’s costumes.
“We have a special treat for all fans of the Netflix show! Enjoy alternate skins for Buttercup and Nilfgaardian soldiers, as well as a new quest inspired by the series where you can get schematics for new equipment. for Geralt. What’s the quest? Shh! No spoilers!”
New cross-progression options will also be added to allow players to save and play across multiple platforms. Keep in mind that the 2020 update gave players the option to save on PC and Switch.
“A feature familiar to you from Cyberpunk 2077 – play the game the way you like it, anywhere, and transfer your last save between platforms.”
