Capcom conducted a survey earlier this month asking a series of questions about the wildly successful Nintendo Switch launch: Rise of the monster hunters – which will also hit PC next January.

One of the issues that received the most publicity was the possibility of cross-play, cross-save and cross-switching between the Nintendo Switch and PC versions of the game. It was an exciting thought at the time, but now Capcom has shared the update with the community via social media.

The Japanese video game publisher and developer apparently “researched this” throughout the game’s development process and found they couldn’t implement this feature. Here is the complete message:

“We’ve heard your requests for cross-save / cross-play for #MHRise and #Sunbreak, but unfortunately after reviewing them during development we found that we couldn’t implement them this time. As always, we We appreciate your continued feedback and support. “

In other words, if you planned to purchase the PC version early next year, you will start the hunt from the beginning. What do you think about it? Leave a comment below.
