By coincidence: 1,000 days have passed since Metroid Prime 4 resumed development

Where were you about 1000 days ago? While it may not seem like a long time ago, it actually dates back to January 25, 2019, and you know what that day was, right? Yes, on this very day in Nintendo history, the development of the highly anticipated release Metroid prime 4 has been restarted.
Nintendo’s Senior Executive Director Shinya Takahashi presented the news in an “open and honest” video message, acknowledging that development progress to date had not reached the standards Nintendo expected from Metroid prime series.
While this was bad news for many Metroid fans around the world, this update brought useful information – the return of Retro Studios. He will now take over responsibility for the project, working alongside the game’s producer, Kensuke Tanabe, who has pledged that the game will be “shoulder to shoulder” with previous Metroid Prime recordings.
So, what updates have we had in development since the Metroid Prime 4 delay? Well, Retro Studios is picking up a heck of a lot of top tier talent – some of them have previously worked on projects like god of War (2018), Borderlands 3, Halo, call of Duty Black Ops, Shadow tomb Raider and Grand Theft Auto.
Apart from the ongoing recruitment, we haven’t heard much. In June of this year, Takahashi confirmed that Nintendo is still “hard at work” on the latest recording.
