Among the many new features included in yesterday’s 2.0.0 update to Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the addition of villager visits, where villagers either invite you to their home for a nice chat and game of cards, or come visit you. in your own home.
Seeing your residents walk around your home for the first time, judging every decorating decision you make before accidentally plopping down in the middle of your living room to read a book may sound a little surreal, but it’s certainly nice to have a little company. Well, at least if your house isn’t full of cockroaches.
You see, if you haven’t played the game for a long time, your house is now infested with cockroaches. You will notice how they run on your rugs, and if you don’t crush them (poor fellows!), They will stay there forever.
Interestingly, with the new update, villagers now react differently to cockroaches in your home. It’s safe to say that they are not very happy:
No one wants a guest to say that their humble dwelling is disgusting before running out the door, so you might want to consider getting out as soon as possible. If the villager does come in and knocks before you sort him out, well … can you always kick him off the island so you never talk to him again?
