Brawlhalla is now playable as three Street Fighter Legends

Ubisoft’s free-to-play action movie has seen notable IP transitions in recent months, and today’s update features several classic characters from Capcom’s Street Fighter series. Ryu, Chun-Li, and Akuma join the game along with a revamped mode, a new stage, and more.

Below are some of the official promotional messages.

Their arrival in a hurricane will kick off a game event with a new game mode called Street Brawl; players will battle it out in Street Fighter style with health bars to show who is the first to fall in a 2-D fighter setting. In addition, a new knockout effect with iconic Street Fighter-style knockout text will be available, as well as a new podium and Satsuya no Hado emote so players can claim that perfect ending. A new 1v1 map based on Suzaku Castle has also been added, as well as four new avatars featuring Zangief, the Shadalu symbol, Hadoken, and an animated avatar showing a quarter-circle forward strike.

Enjoy the glory and admiration of these Street Fighter crossovers:

– Ryu – Epic crossover for Petra – Ryu is always trying to find the next strongest opponent to get better. Many of his iconic techniques have been carried over to Brawlhalla, such as Tatsumaki Senpukyaku, Shoryuken, and Hadoken.
Chun-li – Epic Crossover for Wu Shang – The world’s most powerful woman is sure to teach her opponents a thing or two about how to kick. She brings her own techniques to Brawlhalla, such as Spinning Bird Kick and Kikosho.
Akuma – Epic Crossover for Val – Focused on defeating the gods, the Master of the Fist is ready to make them truly flutter to pieces. He will achieve absolute strength with the help of his techniques Tatsumaki Zankukyaku and Zanku Hadoken, among a few others.

This follows the Walking Dead crossover in September, while Brawlhalla also featured fighters from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Kung Fu Panda, and Hellboy, among others.
