Bottom Line: Reviews for Nintendo Switch Sports
Release this week Nintendo Switch Sport – continuation of the popular Wii Sport the game was released in 2006.
The latest entry brings together six sports and will allow players to enjoy them both locally and online. If you’ve already been to Nintendo Life today, you’ve probably already seen our unfinished review, as the online features aren’t live yet.
However, that hasn’t stopped other publications from putting the number on their review, so with that in mind, here’s a summary of some of the reviews so far. Keep in mind that one of these reviews is still ongoing.
Beginning with IGNhe gave the game 7 out of 10 stars, commenting that it brought back the enjoyment of Wii Sports but ultimately lacked depth:
“Nintendo Switch Sports, like Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort before it, is best played as a party game for any gathering that needs a quick dose of goofy, action-packed fun. quality, Switch Sports pretty much sticks to what made its predecessors memorable: intuitive motion controls, the ability to effortlessly pick up a group of people and start moving, and awesome menu music that can stick in your head all day. don’t expect to spend much time with him before the novelty wears off.”
NME awarded Switch Sports four stars out of five, stating that the value of the game is hard to argue with:
“Nintendo Switch Sport brings the beloved series to modern platforms with aplomb. Although some mini-games are a little weaker than others, some impressive games, namely Chambara and Football, provide an exceptionally good time. Better, Nintendo Switch SportThe £31 price tag is cheaper than most Nintendo games and it’s hard to argue with that price.”
Dexerto was just as passionate about it that I gave it an 8.5 out of 10:
“Nintendo Switch Sports does the impossible by skillfully evolving Wii Sports, creating a new version for a new generation, while also breathing life into a decade of dormant rivalry. the best platform games – if you have friends to play them with.”
wccftech was not so impressed, awarding the game 6.5 out of 10:
“Nintendo Switch Sports is a fun and nostalgic game that offers nicely updated visuals and well-implemented motion controls, but it’s just not enough. With a meager six sports (only two of which bring anything truly new to the game). ) and very few extras, this one probably won’t compete for your attention for long.”
And Game Spot Review is still in development, but it currently scores 7 out of 10:
“Playing alone for a long period of time was boring and repetitive, and the lack of some single-player modes is a serious drawback. But Nintendo Switch Sports is a fantastic multiplayer game that, for the most part, invites anyone and everyone to pick up a controller and swing their limbs. It has its issues, but those go away when you have other people to play with and happily compete in virtual sports. Like the original Wii Sports, Nintendo Switch Sports finds beauty and fun in simplicity. And bowling is great. Better than bowling in real life.”
