Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night didn’t quite start life on the Nintendo Switch at its best, but the experience has since been improved with regular fixes and updates, including some new content.
In a crossover we didn’t expect (until at least March 2022), Bloodstained has now added Aurora from Ubisoft’s platform RPG. Child of Light. It’s a little weird, admittedly, but it’s another free update, so we’re not complaining!
“Aurora got lost and woke up in an unfamiliar, dangerous new country. Armed with the Sword of Matildis and accompanied by her loyal Igniculus, she must find a way to escape. Despite the dire situation, Aurora is not alone. hand to help her increase her power by transmuting items found in chests throughout the game.”
Aurora actually (kind of) fits into this world – thanks to the fairy tale storytelling of the Child of Light. In addition to the character update, the latest Bloodstained update (version 1.3.1) includes some fixes, fixes some issues, and also makes some changes. Here full patch notes:
– New playable character.
– Decreased cooldown after Miriam’s death.
– Fixed cases where Miriam took damage from spiked walls when using Reflector Beam.
– Fixed issues that caused some text to be cut off or dropped out of fields in different languages.
– Engine changes – General bug fixes
