Biggest Dead Cells DLC, The Queen & The Sea, Now Available

As promised, The Queen & The Sea, an all-new paid DLC pack for Dead Cells, is now available on Nintendo Switch and other platforms.

Shown alongside a teaser trailer late last year, The Queen & The Sea is the biggest DLC chunk in the game, completing the events and narrative found in the first two DLCs, The Bad Seed and Fatal Falls. It is said to be “huge new challenges with two new biomes, new enemies and one cool new boss.” Ur

A new animated trailer for the new content is now available (see above) and we have a full rundown of what you can expect by purchasing it right here:

Queen and sea The DLC ends a journey that began with The Bad Seed and Fatal Falls, in which, dying again and again trying to save the island from Malaise, the Decapitated now seeks a way out of the island – a way out that he seems to have found in the latest DLC, but he is heavily guarded … Queen and sea The DLC guides players through two brand new biomes: the Infected Shipwreck and the Lighthouse.

The race runs parallel to the High Peak Castle and Throne Room levels, offering players many new challenges. The first biome, Infected Shipwreck, will guide you through a rotten shipwreck, where unforgiving supernatural horrors will hunt you, lurking (like them) on a creepy old haunted ship. The second biome, The Lighthouse, showcases a whole new challenge to vertical exploration that hasn’t yet been seen in Dead Cells.

Players will find themselves in a floating tower, in which players climb up as fast as they can to outrun the rising flames while fighting off highly trained warriors who want nothing more than to end your run. And since we can’t imagine new biomes without introducing a powerful new boss waiting for you, meet the Queen, a completely new and unexpectedly elegant character unlike any other boss you’ve seen before in the game. The Queen adapts, changing her tactics depending on the combat strategy of the players. Parrying your attacks, sending your projectiles back at you, slicing your own grenades in half and killing your favorite pets are just a few of the challenges players will face, and we haven’t even gotten to the part where it cuts the entire screen to pieces. … … Or a completely new ending.

To celebrate the release of The Queen & The Sea, there are a lot of base game and DLC offerings in digital stores, so be sure to visit your local online store for the most up-to-date prices for your region.
