Awesome, fan-made Dark Souls sequel Nightfall comes in December

Dark Souls: Nightfall is a mod for Dark Souls Remastered that summarizes a fan-made sequence for the game that launched FromSoftware’s fantastic magnum opus trilogy. Just released on December 21, 2021, exactly one month earlier Elden Ring, the mod’s 11-person team worked hard enough to get this thing out the door.
Nightfall will act as a live sequence of Dark Souls events, apparently. It’s a new story, with new spaces, a reworked combat system, a new world map and new characters. Hell, there are maybe even new elements as well. The new combat is the most notable, with humanity-infused players capable of shooting long distances to dodge, at very high speeds, Bloodborne’s wing.
It’s an impressive tribute to the modding you can do with Dark Souls Remastered. The mod will release only for DSR, as the original game has too many technical limitations.
Much like the original game, Nightfall begins in the Asylum of the Dead, but from there it takes a much wilder group of turns. There isn’t a crow to grab, but rather a long fall into the First Flame Furnace — where it looks like the protagonist of the first game has just left, having defeated Gwyn.
