At least someone is correctly celebrating 35 years of Castlevania

Earlier today we brought you the sad news that Konami has decided to celebrate Castlevania’s 35th place with an NFT collection, rather than – you know – something decent, for example, a new game or a collection of existing ones.

It remains to be seen if this will be Konami’s only attempt to celebrate this event – it’s only January after all – but at least we have these lovely people at Limited Run Games to get started in style.

The company does more than just the physical edition Castlevania Requiem on PS4 (unfortunately no Switch version), the company also produces some goodies related to the Castlevania anniversary collection, which did run on Switch.

As part of this action, Limited Run commissioned legendary artist Tom Dubois to create new works of art. In case you didn’t know, Dubois was responsible for some of the most famous Konami covers from the 80s and 90s, including Castlevania III, Legend of the Mystical Ninja, Castlevania IV, Sunset Riders, Operation C, and Contra III. He also designed the cover art for the limited edition Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon.

The catch is that some of these items are slightly more expensive, with only the poster costing. USD 50… It looks awesome, though, so in case you’re wondering, pre-orders start on January 14 at 10:00 am ET.
