Are you sure you want to swap Wind Waker and Twilight Princess ports?

There are always rumors about the Switch these days. When it’s not “new Metroid”, it’s “Switch Pro”; when it’s not any of those, it’s “Zelda remakes”. The latest rumor is a Nintendo Direct focused on Zelda ports, and may be Metroid, which means there’s a good chance it’s a Switch Pro, right?

We are now very excited about the possibility of Wind Waker. as well as Twilight Princess on Switch, even as we scowl at Nintendo for making it so hard to play these games differently and supposedly (if the rumors are true) making us pay full price for each again. We know we’re not alone either – the social media hype is pretty real right now.

But we cannot be trusted. We’re all terrible Zelda heads here (obviously a prerequisite to being hired), and we welcome the opportunity to re-explore the two ruined Hyrules while we wait for Breath of the Wild 2. But aren’t we too lenient in the face of Nintendo remakes? Should we be tired of being spoiled with old things? Is it real at all? To you:
