The Hamster Corporation has been releasing improved arcade versions since the Nintendo Switch launched in 2017, but it might be time for it to take the next big step in keeping it retro.
According to the story on Gematsu, a Japanese company registered the Console Archives trademark at English and Japanese earlier this month, October 6th. While it’s probably best not to worry too much, it looks like there’s a real possibility that the company is planning to re-release older console games.
Hamster launched Arcade Archives on Switch on March 3, 2017, and as of last December, it has had over “200 consecutive weeks.” You can see all of Hamster’s current Switch eShop releases this year on his Official website, or browse our guide to the Nintendo Life Arcade Archives.
The latest addition to the Arcade Archives collection was Bandai Namco’s Rally-X last week. While we’re waiting for something to happen, let us know in the comments what classics you’d like to see Hamster reborn on Nintendo Switch.
