Update: Good news! Pre-orders for the Pocket analog will begin on December 13:

Original story [Sat 11th Sep, 2021 16:55 BST]: Analog Pocket – FPGA-based handheld device compatible with the whole Game Boy library and other systems via adapters – are being deferred again.

After a delay in early April that pushed it towards its October release, Analogue pushed the shipping date back to December. According to the official website, “new Covid restrictions” are to blame – and the company understands how “frustrating” this update is for anyone looking to get their hands on this device:

“Pocket pre-orders will be shipped no later than December. Unfortunately, due to new Covid restrictions with our build partners, their ability to deliver within the agreed time frame has been impaired. This created a domino effect of delays beyond our control into what would otherwise be a flawless process. “

“We understand how unpleasant this is. This is very upsetting for us too. We are thrilled to have these amazing devices in your hands as soon as possible. ”

The same post also noted that Pocket and all of its accessories will be replenished and shipped immediately after the holiday season. In case you’re wondering, it’ll set you back $ 199.99 and comes in black or white.

You can find out more about the analog pocket in our previous publications and at Official website.
